Armstrong Biome Gothenburg (ST284) rates 30-34% light reflectance, the same range as Earthen Lynx, and sits in the middle of the Boreal design. It appears as a medium, slightly cool gray with fine, straight grain in Armstrong's swatch.
Check whether the slab was treated with curing, sealing, hardening, or parting compounds, since these can block adhesion. Compounds containing soap, wax, oil, or silicone have to be ground, sanded, or wire-brushed off before installation. Others need a bond test, and if the test panels fail after 72 hours, the compound must come off. If adhesion fails because of such a compound, warranty responsibility rests with the compound's manufacturer.
Finish: Diamond 10 Technology
Installation and warranty: Full-spread glue-down. The 30-year commercial limited warranty requires a recommended Armstrong adhesive, such as S-995 or S-1000, installed according to Armstrong's instructions.
