Everest (ST255) is the darkest Montane color at 15-19% light reflectance. In Armstrong's swatch it appears as a deep gray-brown with straight grain and dark knots.

Sunlit rooms call for S-1000, the adhesive Armstrong specifies for areas exposed to direct sunlight, topical moisture, or temperature swings, so plan for it in lobbies, corridors, and offices with large windows. Everest doesn't need polish, but if your facility prefers a polished program, polish won't hurt performance: scrub to prepare the surface, then apply 3 to 5 coats of a commercial polish, such as Armstrong S-480.

Finish: Diamond 10 Technology

Installation and warranty: Full-spread glue-down. The 30-year commercial limited warranty requires a recommended Armstrong adhesive, such as S-995 or S-1000, installed according to Armstrong's instructions.
