Armstrong Biome Caspian (ST295) is the middle step of the Earthen range at 25-29% light reflectance, darker than Lynx (30-34%) and lighter than Taimen and Caribou (20-24%). Its swatch appears medium brown-gray, with the arched grain clearly visible.

If downtime is the constraint, consider S-319 Roll Strong, the third adhesive Armstrong approves for Biome. It rolls on with a 3/8" nap roller and dries to the touch before the planks go down; once the floor is rolled with a 100-lb. roller, it can take heavy traffic and rolling loads right away. It needs a thoroughly clean substrate, coverage can't exceed 400 sq. ft. per gallon, and it isn't approved over S-1840 underlayment.

Finish: Diamond 10 Technology

Installation and warranty: Full-spread glue-down. The 30-year commercial limited warranty requires a recommended Armstrong adhesive, such as S-995 or S-1000, installed according to Armstrong's instructions.
