Night Owl is a dark gray-brown with a faint vertical grain, so the 12x24 tiles have more going on than a flat color. Itâ€™s part of the Enchanted Forest design in the Armstrong Alterna line, with a low-gloss finish. Besides a straight lay, Armstrongâ€™s pattern guide covers herringbone and basketweave for this size, and basketweave needs a 1/8" grout line.

Itâ€™s waterproof, needs no underlayment, and is installed with full-spread adhesive. Coverage is a lifetime limited residential warranty and a 5-year limited light commercial warranty, and Armstrong lists common areas in multi-unit buildings among its light commercial uses. If you grout, Armstrong recommends joints from 1/16" to 1/4". For cleaning, avoid New Beginning Heavy Duty Cleaner and Stripper. Armstrong makes matching multi-purpose and stair-nose trim for it.
