Chalk, from Armstrong Alternaâ€™s Mesa Stone design, is a pale, sandy cream with soft tan clouding and little contrast across the tile. Itâ€™s a 12x24 stone-look vinyl tile with a low-gloss finish, 4.1 mm thick. Armstrongâ€™s pattern guide includes a mixed herringbone that uses two colors, 65% of one and 35% of the other, so you can pair Chalk with a second Alterna color.

Armstrong lists Chalk as waterproof and approves it for any grade. Installation is glue-down in full spread, and grout is optional on the rounded edges. Warranty: lifetime limited residential, 5-year limited light commercial.
