Pebble Hill's Canyon colorway runs 6.38 inches wide, with boards stretching up to nearly 58.5 inches, reading as a true wide-plank hickory floor rather than a strip floor scaled up. Hickory's own grain does most of the visual work at this width, swinging from light sapwood to darker heartwood inside single boards in a way a calmer species couldn't fill a 6-plus inch face with on its own. Canyon leans into the warmer, reddish-brown end of what hickory's grain will support, and hand-scraping adds a rolling, uneven surface on top of that color range rather than a dead-flat plane. With character rated High, expect knots, mineral streaking and real board-to-board variation across most of the run.

Canyon's warm, reddish cast fits naturally into a farmhouse kitchen finished with painted olive cabinetry, walls in unbleached linen and a butcher block counter in white oak, where matte black hardware adds contrast without a cooler tone in an otherwise warm room. Kitchens take the most abuse over time, from dropped cast iron to years of chair scoot marks near the table.
