Oak shows its open grain more clearly than maple or birch, and that grain is the main draw in Shaw Anvil Plus Chatter Oak (2032V-00295), a natural, mid-light oak visual. The plank is SPC rather than wood, so it won't cup or swell the way solid oak does after a dishwasher leak. It is 4.4 mm thick with a 6 mil wear layer, ScufResist finish, square edges, and an attached EVA pad. Use it where traffic is moderate, or step up to Anvil Plus 20 MIL Chatter Oak for heavy use. An olive-green velvet sofa sits well on it. Order a sample to see the grain up close.
