What is Floorté Flooring?
Shaw Floorté Flooring is one of their most popular flooring brands. While Shaw carries numerous brands, Floorté has specialized qualities, most notably its focus on being waterproof.
Their catchphrase is "Built to Endure", which tells you a lot about Floorté before learning the details. Plenty more features are available to make these a smart choice for any room in your home. It can take on the worst type of morning disaster or afternoon adventure and stay robust for years to come.
Floorté floors come in two distinct versions: Hardwood or Luxury Vinyl. Its unique style, endurance, and easy method of install are notable above all. Their classic version works for any home, while the Pro edition has essential designs for any commercial business. Focus on residential use, though, is where Floorté truly excels. You still might want to use a Pro edition of the floor if your home gets more floor traffic than the average.
Three distinct brands within Floorté are also worth noting: Pantheon, HD, Endura, and Paragon. These have unique features and details you'll want to learn about later. All of these are easy to install using Shaw's convenient technology. It's one of the rare floors that offers one version made of real hardwood and another made of vinyl. While the vinyl version is more affordable, it brings the look of natural materials in a way that's compellingly convincing.
Floorte Pros and Cons
Pro: Resists Water, Spills, and Moisture Buildup
Most homeowners want to know what kind of flooring is waterproof. Shaw's Floorté is one of the best available to help resist water. It's worth noting here "water-resistant" is a better term, even though you could also call it "waterproof."
Regardless of the term you use, the proof of water-resistance in Floorté flooring is in the materials. In their Classic brand for residential use, the core layer is foam, giving it a strong ability to withstand water. Keep in mind much of this is based on how thick the wear layer is on your floor. The standard Classic editions have slightly thinner wear layers, but the Pro editions of Floorté are thicker. Pro floors do provide better protection from water.
What's most important is if you buy the hardwood edition of Floorté, you get moisture protection, something you can't get with real hardwood. You can enjoy the same protection from food and drink spills. Any moisture that creeps into a room also won't ruin the floor. You can remove the planks with ease based on a click profile installation method.
Pro: Numerous Finishes and Colors
Finding a floor that offers wide varieties of styles is not always easy. Floorté floors are some of the most diverse around, including colors and textures for virtually anyone.
In their Hardwood collection, you can also get numerous wood species ranging from Ash to Walnut. Textures range from heavy scraped to wire-brushed. Colors are diversified as well and offer everything from white to beige.
Using Shaw's Floorvana+ page, you can choose the color or texture you want and visualize how it looks virtually on your home floor. It's an example of how innovative Shaw is in offering Augmented Reality so you see how their diverse Floorté styles suit your home. In addition to these looks, Shaw gives you a choice of whether you want an adhesive/direct glue installation or one that's glueless.
Pro: High-Definition Printing
The Vinyl Plank edition of Floorté is worth noting because it vividly creates the look of real hardwood and tile with amazing clarity. You can thank the high-definition printing technology Shaw uses to make this possible.
No matter what kind of species of wood you want, Shaw's printing techniques replicate it convincingly. Not all flooring brands offer this much vividness to the look of wood and tile. Only a rare few flooring leaders utilize state-of-the-art printing technology, though Shaw is at the top.
In some cases, Floorté floors even recreate the look of stone and concrete. Your best way to see their printing techniques is to see samples in person through your local authorized flooring dealer. Most people can't tell the difference between the printed image and the real thing.
Pro: Useable in Every Room
Not every hardwood or vinyl floor can work in every room, but Floorté floors can. Most people who buy these floors use them in their kitchen, bathroom, or laundry room based on the water-resistant materials. Now more people are starting to use Floorté floors in other rooms of their home due to the extreme durability.
For instance, you might find more than a few who now use these floors in their bedrooms, or even living rooms. Based on the comfort level of the floor's surface, it's almost like walking on a carpet. Why bother with carpeting when it requires so much more maintenance?
You could even use Floorté floors in your garage, as long as you get a version with a thicker wear layer. It's not out of the question for a homeowner to buy Floorté Pro, which is made for commercial businesses. If your home happens to get more foot traffic than what's normal, this could become a valid purchase. With proper maintenance, using Floorté in any residential room is possible, as long as not placed outdoors.
Con: You Have to Replace the Floor Eventually
No floor lasts forever. Real hardwood can as long as it's not exposed to water and has proper maintenance. Otherwise, real hardwood is going to need replacing within a couple of years if exposed to significant traffic.
Even the vinyl plank version of Floorté is going to need replacing eventually. Nevertheless, vinyl floors are more apt to last for a couple of decades with the right care. Just remember that when the time comes you need to replace your Floorté floor, it's easy to remove the planks. Based on the easy installation method available, removing them is just as easy. In some cases, this might mean just replacing a few planks that look worn.
After correct maintenance, your Floorté floor might only need complete replacing once in your lifetime.
Pre-Purchase Q&A
How Do I Install Floorté Flooring?
Shaw made their Floorté installation method worth talking about in how relatively easy it is. They also give you a choice since every situation in one's home is different.
The click profile method of installation is an engineering marvel other flooring companies utilize. COREtec owns Shaw, and they've dominated in making the click-lock installation feature an enjoyable DIY process.
What makes this method of install so great is you can place a Floorté floor over existing subfloors. Even if your subfloor has some irregularities, these floors essentially "float" over the initial surface. You can thank the attached underlayment with the floor for enabling this.
In some cases, you may need to use the adhesive version of Floorté. Having a concrete or wood substrate may require you to use glue-down. If so, it might take a little longer to install, if even requiring a professional. Hiring an installer would only happen if you have no prior experience working with floor adhesives.
How Do I Care for My Floorté Flooring?
The maintenance and care you put into your Floorté floor is going to determine how long it lasts. What that entails is just general cleaning you can do once per week.
Any dirt or grit accumulating on your Floorté floor is not going to help keep it in pristine condition. Scratches can easily show up on the floor surface without proper cleaning. All you have to do is sweep your floor clean once per week to keep it dirt-free. Vacuuming is also a good idea. Stay away from cleaning solutions that have abrasive chemicals.
Incidentally, never vacuum your Floorté floor with a vacuum cleaner that has a beater bar. These can be rough on vinyl floors and often cause scratching or denting.
To make cleaning more convenient, consider buying Shaw's patented cleaning solutions. Their Hard Surface Cleaner is basic, has no harsh chemicals, and costs only $9.95 for a 32-oz. bottle. It's made for all their hardwood and vinyl plank floor editions, including Floorté.
Where Can I Buy Floorté Flooring?
Both the Classic and Pro editions of Floorté are findable at all authorized dealers selling floors. This means you can usually find it in all standard box stores that sell home goods.
Keep in mind, though, you're going to pay full retail price buying in places like Lowe's or Home Depot. While they do offer all the latest and greatest floor brands, you're better off searching for a deal online.
Many discounts on Floorté flooring are findable online nowadays. You can save up to a quarter of the cost going this way, including having delivery to your doorstep.
It also pays to shop from a flooring outlet with a knowledgeable staff if you need to ask questions. Not all box stores hire real experts in the flooring industry you can depend on for reliable answers.
How Thick is Floorté Flooring?
The thickness level of your Floorté floor needs some serious thought. Otherwise known as the "mil wear layer", its thickness factors into how water-resistant it is and how much protection it gets from foot traffic.
Wear layers are varied on Floorté floors, ranging from 8 mil, on up to 30 mil. Lower-end wear layers all come from the Classic editions since your home is likely going to receive less foot traffic than a business.
Then again, perhaps you entertain a lot in your home. Or, you may be running a business there lately. In that case, a Floorté Pro edition may be more suitable. These range from 20 mil up to 30 for the ultimate protection.
Remember, a mil layer doesn't stand for a millimeter in thickness. When measuring a mil layer in millimeters, you have to do a little simple converting. A 12-mil wear layer is about 0.3 mm thick, while 20-mil is 0.5 mm. Converting "mil" (which is one-thousandth of an inch) to millimeters gives you a better understanding of what thickness level you need.
What you ultimately need to know is if you have a lot of people (and pets) treading your home floor daily, a higher wear layer is going to matter.
How Do You Acclimate Floorté Flooring?
Fortunately, you don't have to acclimate Floorté floors thanks to the technology Shaw uses. You can install them the same day, then start walking on them immediately.
The stability of a Rigid Core floor like this means you can install it over your subfloor as is. No extensive prep of your subfloor is necessary, even if you still need to make sure it's clean and dry. Overall, it's one of the few floors you don't have to acclimate, including when installed in your basement.
What is Floorte Made of?
Floorté floors have six distinct layers that are singularly important in keeping the floor fully protected and comfortable.
The first layer is a high-performance finish protecting against water and scratching. In Floorté Pro floors, this finish is an Armourbead™ topcoat, a quartz-enhanced urethane finish designed for added durability.
The second layer is also considered part of the first, but a transparent layer protecting against scratching and scuffing. It's here where the majority of protection against the elements comes from. Newer technology on the topcoat, though, is starting to fill in for the most water and scratch protection. Floorté doubles the protection by using an innovative topcoat and wear layer.
The third layer is the image layer where the printed film goes, mimicking the look of natural materials. These images are high-resolution so it looks like a pristine piece of wooden plank or stone. Shaw makes the images look so vibrant, it improves upon what a piece of wood or stone would look like in reality. Many who see it often wonder how the floor owner maintains their wood or stone floor so successfully.
The fourth layer is the use of Compressed Core Technology, or what's known as the Rigid Core. In other words, this is the heart of Floorté floors and where its robust performance comes from. These floors can take the most extreme impact thanks to this layer, making it a favorite among all floors using Rigid Core design.
The fifth layer is a balancing layer. Designed to bring more stability to your floor, it's made especially for overly busy areas. These spaces might be in a commercial business, or your home, depending on your residential lifestyle.
The sixth layer is an attached acoustical pad designed specifically to control sound within any home environment. When you buy Plus editions of Floorté, you can also get two extra underlayments that help with sound absorption and bring more comfort. These underlays are Bravo and SELITAC®.
Why Buy Floorté Flooring?
- It offers the vivid look of hardwood, stone, and tile.
- It offers a real Hardwood edition.
- It's waterproof.
- Extremely durable, including being stain-resistant.
- Made in the U.S.A. after initial production in China.
Why Does the Mil Wear Layer Matter?
The mil wear layer in Floorté flooring determines how long it lasts based on use over time. Known simply as the thickness level, Shaw's Floorté brand offers a wide variance of mil wear layers to suit your particular living environment.
Every home is going to be different in how much floor traffic it gets. Your home may get significant traffic, especially if you have a large family. Having multiple children playing on your floor (plus pets) is only going to make the floor wear out faster.
Take some time to estimate how much foot traffic your home gets daily before deciding on the mil wear layer right for you. On the lowest end with Floorté is 6-mil, followed by 8-mil, and 12-mil. These are the standard wear layers for residential use. All Pro and Plus editions go up to 20-mil and above.
Mil layers are converted to millimeters. Converting this gives you a better idea of the thickness you need if still not sure about the differences in mil-layer width. Maybe you want a Pro edition of Floorté floors if your home is overly busy. Perhaps you even have a business being run out of your home, or just entertain often. In the age of quarantine, a home is a lot busier nowadays, including Work From Home situations.
Your biggest decision is deciding what your best floor investment is. Thanks to Floorté floors potentially lasting for a couple of decades, you'll want to make the right choice the first time.
6 mil to 12 mil Wear Layer
For someone single living alone in a home, a 6-mil wear layer is likely more than suitable. In time, though, you might start a big family and have numerous pets in your home, making a 12-mil floor (or higher) a better investment now.
What is the Difference Between WPC and SPC Floorté Floors?
What is WPC flooring in Shaw's Floorté brand? You may ask the same about SPC, a term often confusing to the average buyer.
WPC
WPC stands for Wood Plastic Composite and uses wood-like plasticizers to mimic the look of wood. Floorté floors have a real Hardwood option, making WPC flooring regulated to their vinyl editions.
You can still get WPC vinyl flooring from Floorté featuring all the waterproof and durability qualities you already know about.
SPC
Their SPC floors are just as popular. SPC stands for Stone Plastic Composite, giving the convincing look of stone. Since SPC floors have more limestone than WPC floors do, they're sometimes considered a little stronger. If you need a little more durability in your home, consider a Floorté SPC floor.
You may not need an SPC floor for your home if you hardly have any traffic in there. These floors were once made for the commercial market until more people started using them in their homes. It's more than acceptable. Still, WPC flooring offers superior comfort and sound absorption compared to SPC flooring.
In-Depth Look at Pantheon Floorté Flooring
One of the most popular Floorté brands available today is Pantheon. Shaw usually sells this as Pantheon HD under their WPC line. You can also get it in an HD Plus version.
A strong suit with Pantheon is its use of mixed wood species, bringing a unique look you can't find on similar floors. Embossed in-register textures also bring a classic aesthetic and feel when walked on. It looks beautiful besides, including offering a wider variety of color choices.
Pantheon floors are made for an overly busy home. Available in 20-mil, it's super strong for any scenario. You can install it above existing subfloors, directly on that same subfloor, or below ground in a basement.
The width and length of the planks are also 7x48, offering plenty of room to cover a larger room. An Armourbead® wear layer on top provides the top-tier performance you should expect from Shaw's Floorté brand.
Installation of a Pantheon floor is also easy using the click profile method. You're essentially creating a floating floor here, making any type of extensive prep of your subfloor unnecessary.
Pantheon even comes with a large number of wood species ranging from Trevi to Sorrento. These names help give you a better description of the type of woods you get, along with the basic look.
Endura Floorté Flooring
Out of all of Floorté's resilient vinyl flooring, Endura is one of their most durable in their SPC line. Usually known as Endura Plus, it's the best choice for floors with the highest floor traffic.
The styles available here are also extensive, making it popular on aesthetics as much as its strong surface. Most Endura floors are available only in 12-mil, even though it's still a strong floor for a home. It also uses Floorté's Armourbead™ wear layer for the ultimate protection.
For further durability, the plank thickness level is 4.8 mm, making it solid for hours of walking or standing. Plus, it's another floating floor, making installation possible in one day. The width and length are, again, 7x48.
Thirty colors are available here as well, giving you more variety from any usual vinyl floor. Series names range from Alabaster Oak to Ginger Oak.
All of Shaw's vinyl floors in their collections come with no ortho-phthalate plasticizers, making it safe for your health. Endura is even usable in a business, albeit usually used for residential and commercial use. Keep in mind the warranties are different based on whether the floor is used residentially or commercially.
Paragon Floorté Flooring
Floorté also offers Paragon Plus, yet another floor bestseller for Shaw. This is a 7-inch plank offering some appealing wood species. It manages to integrate grain pines as just starters, including dark wood types like walnut and oak.
All of the features Floorté stands for are here, including being waterproof. At 20-mil, it's also very high performing, making it suitable again for home or a business.
One feature worth noting used in other Floorté floors is Shaw's patented ScuffResist finish on the top layer. Shaw truly innovates here in providing a unique material properly taking on things like heavy furniture or abrasive footwear.
Paragon Plus also comes with a Soft Silence® pad, another trademarked technology from Shaw. Their bottom layer is perfect for controlling loud sounds, including providing the ultimate foot comfort.
If your home has overly loud sounds and has people standing around visiting often, Paragon works. Rarely do you find floors feeling almost like a carpet when walking on it with socks or bare feet.
The length and width here are 7x48 once again. Plank thickness is 5 mm, providing solid protective layers. Like the other Floorté brands above, it's also a floating floor by clicking the planks together.

Floorté Installation Methods
- How you install a Floorté floor is likely on your mind if you're considering buying this brand. Shaw gives you the option of using either the click profile method or glue method, depending on the type of room you have.
- To get started with a click profile method, make sure the planks were stored in an environment between 55F and 85F. Keep the planks away from excessive sunlight as well since this could discolor them.
- Move all your furniture out of the room. Gather your installation tools like a utility knife, tape measure, and a rubber mallet as starters. Make sure the subfloor is at least clean, dry, and has no structural damage. If you discover it's not quite level, buy a self-leveling mix first to get this done.
- You don't need any extra underlayment with Floorté floors since it comes with its own already built-in. All that's necessary is clicking the planks together and putting them in place.
- As you begin, always install your planks parallel to the longest wall in the room. Also start from the room's left side and gradually work to the right. Wait, though: How do you click those planks together?
- It uses a tongue and groove system requiring you to seat the planks at an angle. This doesn't take too much pressure to snap into place. Be sure to keep the first two rows straight and square as your foundation.
- All the planks are easy to cut if you have to place them around irregular spaces. Just use a sharp utility knife to cut to the shape you need.
- Exposed edges may need new molding and transition strips in certain rooms. You may also need to use new caulking around edges in bathrooms.
- For the glue-down method, the preparation is the same, except you have to test your substrate for moisture beforehand. You also need to control the room temperature and humidity before the floor goes in. Make sure the temperature in the room doesn't exceed 85F.
- Flooring material and the adhesives do need acclimating for 48 hours before you do any installing work. Spreading glue can sometimes become messy, which is why many people who never installed a floor this way hire professionals.
- One thing that could wrong is having glue residue seeping through if you spread the adhesive incorrectly from the directions provided. To save the problem of making mistakes and having costly cleanup, consider a professional for the glue-down method.
- Nevertheless, glue-down possibly isn't necessary unless your Floorté floor happens to get excessive sunlight from nearby windows or doors.
Floorté Warranty Information
- Valid use of your floor warranties corresponds directly to the care your floor receives. Shaw provides some extended warranties that might surprise you on how long they last.
- Various provisions apply, of course, based on the particular circumstances of any floor damage. The longest-lasting warranties are those that have higher mil wear layers. This makes sense based on the notion thicker planks last longer based on the traffic they receive.
- You can enjoy a 30-year warranty for the 12-mil residential version of Floorté. That's nearly a lifetime, meaning with proper maintenance, your kids or grandkids may be the ones replacing the floor someday.
- Commercial versions of Floorté with 12-mil wear layers have a lengthy 15-year warranty.
- Floorté floors with lesser mil layers (like 8-mil) have shorter warranty time-frames. Residential and commercial versions here are 15 years, and 5 years, respectively.
- Now that you know how many years Floorté warranties are, what are the things you can't have covered? It's worth keeping in mind Shaw warranties only apply to manufacturing defects in each product. However, you do have two years to use the warranty if you discover those defects, including discoloring or delaminating after proper care.
- What the warranties don't cover include things in nature occurring if not following directions or lack of care. For instance, the warranty won't cover replacement if emissions from the subfloor caused fire damage or flooding.
- Also, any installations occurring without following proper directions voids the warranties. This includes not acclimating any flooring materials or maintaining the floor properly.
- Shaw pays 50% of labor costs if your Floorté floor is found to have a defect after two years. After those two years, Shaw pays to replace your floor if finding defects, but not the labor costs.
- Remember, the warranty applies strictly to you, the owner. If you sell your home to someone else or a family member, they can't use the floor warranties. Since warranties aren't transferable, think about how long you plan to stay in your home.
- To start a claim on the warranty, you'll need to go to the authorized dealer that sold you the floor. They'll file a warranty claim for you to save time. You can also visit www.shawnow.com and file a claim yourself if you want to go it alone. Create a log-in user name and password there first.
- For Shaw to take action, you have to provide solid proof your Floorté floor has defects. Provide photographs to prove your case, including a valid description.
Inside Look at Floorté Flooring Construction
The layers of Floorté flooring have materials providing the most solid protection in the industry. How Shaw manufactures their floors is worth looking at so you see just how much scientific care is put into their products.
It starts with the Armourbead™ topcoat used in many versions of Floorté floors. This has a urethane finish that's quartz-enhanced, bringing superior moisture and scratching protection. Urethane finishes, though, are very common in many industries manufacturing items receiving tough physical use.
When urethane is combined with epoxy primers, it creates a solid protective barrier from different elements. Add quartz to this, and you're just doubling the durability level. You're probably familiar with seeing quartz used on countertops for kitchens and bathrooms. Now you know why quartz is also beneficial for floors since it holds up to all types of abuse from people and animals.
The photographic layer of Floorté flooring is another interesting piece of technology in the realm of digital printing. This technology hasn't been around too long, though it started in Europe in 2013 before catching on in America.
Producers of laminate flooring began using digital printing in the beginning. Then companies like Shaw began moving into the market to create realistic wood, stone, and tile images on their floor surfaces. Thanks to high-definition photography, it looks exactly like the real thing to the naked eye. Uses of this also make each floor look more pristine than if using real natural materials.
Compressed Core Technology used in Floorté flooring is additionally notable since this makes up the Rigid Core center layer. Materials used here are designed for the greatest impact resistance, including if using heavy furniture.
Limestone is used in the SPC line of Floorté floors for the center core. This material is known for being a little more durable than others used in WPC floors. WPC floors in the Floorté line use wood plastic composite, hence the definition of this acronym. It's still very sturdy for a floating floor.
Yet another part of your Floorté floor is the acoustical pad. Do you know what it's made of to keep your feet feeling comfortable? Many flooring companies use cork on this layer because of how soft it feels and its ability to absorb loud sounds. Shaw primarily uses polyurethane foam, which offers many of the same benefits, including bringing thermal insulation.
Types of Residential Rooms for Floorté Flooring Use
Floorté hardwood or vinyl planks can work in virtually any room of your house. Take a look at the benefits of using it in typical rooms, and ones you maybe never thought about.
Kitchen
It seems kitchens are where most residential customers want their Floorté floors. Considering the waterproof qualities and durability aspects, this is no surprise.
The chances of moisture permeating your kitchen floor are perhaps just as great as your bathroom or laundry room. After all, you do have potential appliances in your kitchen that could leak. Your kitchen sink could potentially flood the room. Or, a refrigerator and freezer could leak as well.
Easy removability of the click-profile Floorté planks means you can remove them when wet, let them dry, then put them back in place.
These floors go beyond waterproofing your kitchen and into the realm of standing up to excessive floor traffic. Your kitchen is probably one of the most visited rooms next to the bathroom or living room. Traffic is likely intense if you have guests there to visit while preparing food. A Floorté Pro floor is maybe best for your kitchen in this scenario.
Comfort level in your kitchen is equally important for those who do food preparation there. Is that family member feeling comfortable standing on your kitchen floor while preparing meals? The foam underlayment on Floorté floors is ideal if you need a soft kitchen floor, whether wearing footwear, socks, or barefoot.
Bathroom
Using a Floorté floor in your bathroom is perhaps where it'll get its greatest test. Based on how much floor traffic a bathroom usually takes on, plus the potential for scratching or staining, your floor could get a real workout.
The waterproof qualities of Floorté are perfect for possible disasters that befall bathrooms. Toilets might run over, or leak. Sinks can also leak, if not having a potential pipe burst. Showers and bathtubs only add to the potential for moisture on the floor.
Then you may have pets who play around in the bathroom for long hours. You may place their feeding and water bowls in there, bringing potentials of spills and staining. We won't even go into the potential for poop and pee stains.
Your bathroom also benefits in comfort level with a Floorté floor. As much as some don't want to admit it, they probably do stand in there longer than they should while shaving or grooming. Give you and your family a comfortable floor there so it feels like a carpet rather than an overly hard surface.
All the stylish aesthetics of Floorté can make your bathroom look very trendy.
Laundry Room
Waterproof qualities in Floorté flooring make it excellent for laundry rooms. The chances for moisture in there are more than possible from various areas.
Your washing machine could run over, or the water hoses might malfunction, leading to a flood. Other water might get tracked in if your laundry room is near an outside door or in the garage.
No matter the scenario, a laundry room needs a floor able to take on a lot of water. Plus, you want that floor to be as comfortable as possible since you or someone in the family likely does laundry there.
How many times have you worked in your laundry room and felt tired of standing in place folding clothes and towels? Some homeowners place cheaper floors in this part of their house since they think a laundry room is never seen by anyone other than family members.
Floorté floors are going to allow whoever does laundry duty to stand in place without suffering from sore feet. All the varied flooring styles, textures, and colors available also let you turn your laundry room into a trendy space. A guest is sure to see this part of your home eventually.
Living Room
Can you place a Floorté floor in a residential living room? Yes, you can, and it's becoming a popular choice for those who don't want to deal with the upkeep of a carpet.
Thanks to Shaw designing their Floorté floors so it has the feel of carpet, you can make your living room look trendy. Bringing the look of wood, stone, or tile to a living area is a more popular option nowadays than it was years ago. Besides, the feel of the floor helps when having guests over.
Everyone will be amazed at the aesthetic beauty of a Floorté floor in your living room. They can track water or outside debris into the area and not tarnish the surface. Of course, cleaning the floor once a week is necessary to keep it pristine.
Think about the comfort level aspect as well and what this means for any kids in the family, plus pets. They can play in your living room without feeling like they're lying on concrete. A Floorté foam underlay makes everyone in the family want to spend more time in the living room.
Maintaining it only requires weekly sweeping and vacuuming, as long as the latter doesn't have a beater bar.
Bedrooms
The thought of installing Floorté floors in your bedrooms is maybe the last thing on your mind. Give it some consideration based on the floor's durability and comfort level.
Most of us put in more traffic in our bedrooms than we think. Part of this comes in the daily wear of making our beds and getting dressed. And, the foot traffic of getting up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night goes without saying.
Perhaps a rug is your first thought based on its softness and the notion you'll be walking in your bare feet at night. Remember how much upkeep a rug requires, not including being tougher to clean. Placing Floorté planks in there gives you a soft, vinyl floor that also doesn't feel cold at night. Besides, it's easier to clean and maintain over time.
Also, these floors hold up to the amount of time you put in treading your bedroom floor. Don't think the majority of time spent in your bedroom is in bed.
Your pets and kids may also play in your bedrooms often as private playrooms. You may not even realize how much traffic that floor is getting during the day before you hit the pillow.
As a stylish touch, having a Floorté floor installed keeps your home looking modern. It may give you more freedom to share pics of your bedroom with friends or on social media thanks to Shaw offering varied and trendy styles.
If ever the time comes you want to sell your home, having a Floorté floor in your bedrooms helps make each space look more modern and appealing to a buyer.
Entryway or Foyer
You may be looking for tips on how to decorate a foyer, one of the most important parts of your house. It's the first room guests see, meaning flooring should be a top priority in your decorating plan.
A Floorté floor is a good idea here based simply on how durable the planks are. Your foyer/entryway may get more floor traffic than the average besides, making it challenging to maintain if using anything cheaper.
The foam underlay also sends a message you've set up your home for comfort. This says so much about you from the minute someone enters your door. Thanks to all the myriad styles of Floorté flooring, you can also set an immediate visual statement.
Best of all, of course, is a floor like this having capability to take on water, mud, and all other natural elements. Heavy rains in your town or city are going to mean guests tracking in water regularly. Mud, oil, and other types of dirt are also inevitable.
A Floorté floor can handle it while still giving you a pristine look of wood, stone, or tile. If you have a nearby mudroom, consider using Floorté flooring there as well to take on possibly worse outdoor elements than your entryway.
