This structure makes engineered hardwood an excellent choice for installation on any home floor, including basements, over concrete subfloors, and radiant heating systems. Some unfinished Bruce hardwood products have a thicker top layer, so they can be sanded and refinished.

The core construction eliminates air pockets, which results in increased product hardness and protection from moisture. Bruce Rigid core performs at high temperatures without crowning, cupping, or wear layer delamination. It can be installed in three-season rooms and direct sunlight rooms.
