Armstrong Safety Zone Tile Slip Retardant VCT

Armstrong Safety Zone Tile is a commercial slip-retardant vinyl composition tile (VCT) made for areas where added traction is needed. Each tile measures 12 in. x 12 in. and 1/8 in. (3.2 mm) thick. Armstrong classifies the collection as ASTM F1066 Class 2 Through-Pattern VCT.

Slip-retardant surface and commercial use

Safety Zone VCT has a textured, embossed surface with embedded particles that provide enhanced traction underfoot. Its through-pattern construction keeps the pattern consistent as the tile wears. Armstrong lists education, healthcare, and retail among the commercial applications for Safety Zone Tile.

Installation and maintenance

Safety Zone Tile installs with a full-spread method using Armstrong-recommended adhesives. It follows traditional VCT maintenance, including an initial polish and periodic maintenance as the floor wears. Armstrong's Fast Start factory finish removes the need for stripping before the first polish. Routine care includes sweeping and damp mopping.
