How to Heat Weld Vinyl Flooring Seams

Installation Tip: Heat Welding
Trying to learn how to weld vinyl? When heat welding inside and outside corners, use two small pieces of blue painter’s tape on the floor to prevent scorching or burning when starting or stopping the vinyl weld.
Leave the tape approximately 1/8” from the starting and stopping point of the groove, and weld right onto the tape. This helps achieve a strong weld at the starting and stopping point without damaging the floor and the tape comes off with no residue.
